READY
New starter battery. No problem. Until you install the new battery on your own and forget where one of the extra wires goes. Red is positive; not to be installed on the negative pole. To my defense, it was encased and I must have deleted the image in my phone from when I disconnected the battery in November. Funny thing, we found the aftermarket battery disconnect switch under the driver seat during all this process. Mobile RV techs are great at helping still-kind of-newbies.

As the mobile tech completed the replacement of our coach power converter (another story on what not to do when installing your farm cabin power pole RV connection), I asked him to take a look at the NO START condition on the truck engine. After taking the battery out and checking several other things, he discovered my mistake. Viola! Engine started right up! Anything else he asked? Sure! DO you have any roof caulk in your truck? He did and he took care of several skylights and a vent roof penetration. New caulk means less chance of spring rain showers ending up inside the coach.

The rig is ready to go! We tested and lubricated the slides today. Now to complete the trip planning! We plan to take a two night spring checkout nearby on the Texas Coast. And then... in May, we travel to Virginia to see our granddaughter (and her parents). Thinking we will take the Gulf Coast I-10 route over to Florida and then up the East Coast to Virginia as we take in some new to us sights. Our cats will come along again as we plan to be away for a month.

Travel photos will be posted along the way! See you in May!
